Lucknow Police Organises Special Training Workshop for Police Staff on Duties of Court Liaison Officers

Lucknow: In line with the directions of the Government of Uttar Pradesh and the Director General of Police, a special training workshop on the “duties and responsibilities of Parokars (court liaison officers)” was organised under the guidance of Police Commissioner Amrendra Kumar Sengar.

The training session was held at the Seminar Hall of the Reserve Police Lines, Lucknow, aimed at strengthening the coordination between police stations and courts and improving procedural efficiency.

Senior Officers Guide the Programme

The workshop was conducted under the supervision of Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime & Headquarters) Aparna Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police (Law & Order) Bablu Kumar, and Deputy Commissioner of Police (Headquarters) Amit Kumar Kumat. The overall execution was monitored by Assistant Commissioner of Police (Women Crime/Training Cell) Saumya Pandey.

122 Police Personnel Participate

A total of 122 police personnel from various police stations and units participated in the training programme. The session was conducted using modern training techniques and technical resources to enhance learning outcomes.

The training was led by instructor Pratyush Dubey, who provided detailed insights into the role and responsibilities of Parokars, emphasizing practical aspects of court-police coordination.

Focus on Court-Police Coordination

During the session, participants were briefed on key operational responsibilities, including:

  • Ensuring timely communication between police stations and courts regarding judicial orders
  • Proper and timely handling of summons and warrants
  • Monitoring pending and old court-related case files for necessary action
  • Strengthening coordination to avoid delays in judicial processes

The trainer highlighted the importance of efficient coordination between courts and police stations to ensure smooth legal proceedings.

Objective of the Workshop

Officials stated that the primary objective of the workshop was to make Parokars more accountable, efficient, and technically proficient in handling court-related responsibilities, thereby improving the overall functioning of the criminal justice system.

Future Training Initiatives

The police administration also announced that such training programmes will be conducted at regular intervals to further enhance the skills of personnel and incorporate modern technology into policing systems.

The workshop concluded successfully, with participants expressing commitment to implementing the knowledge gained in their daily duties. Officials noted that such initiatives will significantly improve police efficiency and strengthen public service delivery.
